Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 13 August 2026
These terms govern your use of aquazenonline.co.za and every order you place with us. By placing an order you agree to them. They are written to comply with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA) and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
Who You Are Dealing With
Legal name: Aqua Zen (Pty) Ltd
Trading as: AquaZen
Physical address: [INSERT STREET ADDRESS], South Africa
Website: aquazenonline.co.za
Email: shop@aquazenonline.co.za
Director: Success Shibambu
Country of operation: South Africa
1. Our Products
We sell purified still water in 500 ml, 1.5 L and 5 L bottles, sold individually and in cases, as well as personalised bottles carrying your own label design.
Product images on the site are representative. Bottle shape, label placement and cap colour may vary slightly between production runs.
Our water is purified and packaged by a licensed South African bottling partner in line with the applicable foodstuffs regulations. Each bottle is sealed and carries a batch and best-before date.
2. Prices
All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR). The price shown next to a product is the price you pay for it. Add the delivery fee shown at checkout and that is your total. There are no hidden charges.
Aqua Zen (Pty) Ltd is not a registered VAT vendor, so no VAT is charged on your order and no VAT is included in our prices. We issue an ordinary invoice, not a tax invoice, which means you cannot claim input VAT on a purchase from us. Should we become VAT registered in future, we will say so here and on our invoices.
We may change prices at any time, but never after you have paid for an order. If a price is displayed incorrectly due to an obvious error, we will contact you before processing the order and you may cancel for a full refund.
3. Placing an Order
- Add products to your cart and complete the checkout steps.
- An order is an offer to buy. A binding sale comes into existence only once we have received your payment and sent you an order confirmation email.
- We may decline or cancel an order if stock is unavailable, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we suspect fraud. If we do, you receive a full refund.
- Minimum quantities apply to personalised orders and are shown on the product page.
4. Payment
You may pay by:
- Instant EFT through Ozow, using your internet banking login on Ozow's secure page
- Credit or debit card through Peach Payments or Payfast, on their secure payment pages
All payment pages are encrypted and PCI-DSS compliant. AquaZen never sees or stores your card number, CVV or banking login details. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.
Orders are only produced and dispatched once payment has cleared in our account.
5. Delivery
We deliver throughout South Africa by courier. Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order. Full details, timeframes and areas are set out in our Delivery Policy.
Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by the courier, load shedding, weather, strikes or other events beyond our control, but we will keep you informed and help you trace any delayed parcel.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check your order on arrival and report any damage within 7 days.
6. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
You may cancel an order at no charge before it has been dispatched — email shop@aquazenonline.co.za with your order number.
Under section 44 of ECTA you may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of delivery without giving a reason, and receive a refund of the purchase price. This right does not apply to goods made to your specification, which includes our personalised bottles, or to sealed consumables that have been opened.
Damaged, leaking, defective or incorrect goods are replaced or refunded in full. The full process, timelines and exclusions are in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Personalised Bottles and Your Artwork
When you send us artwork, a logo, a photograph or text for a personalised order, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you give AquaZen permission to reproduce it on your bottles for that order.
You indemnify AquaZen against any claim arising from artwork you supplied, including trade mark or copyright claims.
We may decline artwork that is unlawful, offensive, or that infringes someone else's rights. We will refund you in full if we decline your artwork.
You are responsible for checking spelling, dates and details on the proof we send you. Once you approve a proof, the order is produced as approved and is not returnable for errors in the approved artwork.
8. Product Safety and Use
Store bottles upright, out of direct sunlight, away from strong smells and chemicals, and below 25°C. Use the product before the best-before date printed on the bottle.
Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 24 hours. Do not refill or reuse single-use bottles.
9. Your Account and Site Use
- Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for activity under them.
- Provide accurate delivery details — we are not liable for deliveries to a wrong address you supplied.
- Do not attempt to interfere with, scrape, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site. Unauthorised access to a computer system is an offence under ECTA.
- All content on this site, including the AquaZen name, logo, bottle designs, label designs, text and images, belongs to Aqua Zen (Pty) Ltd and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including your right to safe, good quality goods.
Beyond those rights, our liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit or loss of an event opportunity.
11. Complaints and Disputes
Please raise any complaint with us first at shop@aquazenonline.co.za — we aim to respond within 24 hours on business days and to resolve matters quickly and fairly.
If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission or to a recognised consumer goods ombud. These terms are governed by South African law, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. The version in force when you place your order is the one that applies to that order. The current version is always available at aquazenonline.co.za/terms.
These terms are provided for information and are not legal advice. Please have them reviewed by an attorney before relying on them, particularly the liability and indemnity clauses.
